Are you allergic to roses but still have an endearing spot for this delicate flower of love? Then we suggest trying your hand at folding an easy origami rose instead. In just 8 simple steps, you will have a cute little flower to give to the one you adore or decorate your home with.<\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong>\u00a0For this easy origami rose model, we suggest you\u00a0use origami paper that has the same color and pattern on both sides. This is because the color of the center rose\u00a0pedals will not match if you use paper that has a different color on each side.<\/em><\/p>\n

Step 1<\/h3>\n

Start with a square piece of origami paper and fold it in half vertically and horizontally. Then unfold. You will use these lines as a guide for Step 2.<\/p>\n

Step 2<\/h3>\n

Fold all 4 corners of the paper so that they meet at the center point created by the folds in Step 1.<\/p>\n

Step 3<\/h3>\n

Rotate the paper 45 degrees so that it looks like a square instead of a diamond. Repeat Step 2 so that all 4 corners meet in the center.<\/p>\n

Step 4<\/h3>\n

Again, rotate the paper 45 degrees so that it looks like a square instead of a diamond. Repeat Step 2 so that all 4 corners meet in the center.<\/p>\n

Step 5<\/h3>\n

All 4 corners should now meet in the center, creating 4 flaps. Fold each corner back to about \u00be of the full length of the flap. Once you have folded back the 4 corners, you will see 4 new flaps that were hidden underneath.<\/p>\n

Step 6<\/h3>\n

Fold back the next set of 4 flaps that were hidden in Step 5 as far back as they can go.\u00a0Once you have folded back these 4 flaps, you will see 4 more\u00a0flaps that were hidden underneath.<\/p>\n

Step 7<\/h3>\n

Repeat Step 6, folding the flaps hidden in Step 6 as far back as they can go.<\/p>\n

Step 8<\/h3>\n

For the final step, fold back the 4 small flaps (shown in the image\u00a0below) so that you cannot see them. This helps “lock” the model so that the rose\u00a0pedals\u00a0do not unfold.<\/p>\n
