This is because the color of the center rose\u00a0pedals will not match if you use paper that has a different color on each side.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Step 1<\/h3>\n<p>Start with a square piece of origami paper and fold it in half vertically and horizontally. Then unfold. You will use these lines as a guide for Step 2.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4847 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.fromjapan.co.jp\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/rose_07.jpg\" alt=\"origami rose step 1\" width=\"600\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Step 2<\/h3>\n<p>Fold all 4 corners of the paper so that they meet at the center point created by the folds in Step 1.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4848 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.fromjapan.co.jp\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/rose_09.jpg\" alt=\"origami rose step 2\" width=\"600\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Step 3<\/h3>\n<p>Rotate the paper 45 degrees so that it looks like a square instead of a diamond. Fold each corner back to about \u00be of the full length of the flap.
