After a brutal summer, the temperatures here in Japan are finally getting cooler. As we’re getting those hot drinks out to get cozy for fall, we’re tuning in to a brand new batch of Fall Anime.

As we write this, the new anime season isn’t quite over yet, but we’re just as hyped as everyone else so we figured we’ll introduce you to our personal Top 5 anime for Fall 2022 and a short excerpt of why we’re hyped about them.

Spy x Family Part 2

Since we’ve written a special blog post dedicated to the hit anime, Spy x Family, you didn’t think we’d miss out on mentioning this again, did you? If this is (surprisingly) your first time hearing about this series, check out our blog post to get the gist of what the story is like!

This series has captured the hearts of so many anime fans around the world because of  how lovable the characters are, and we can expect that this heartwarming core of the series will continue on for Part 2.

Chainsaw Man

 

Chainsaw Man is a new addition to the anime world, with its first anime adaptation airing this fall 2022, nearly four years since its manga debut. We’ve been following the manga series since it was first published, and what we’re most excited by is finally getting to see Chainsaw Man’s unique atmosphere portrayed on screen and we’re also looking forward to finding out how accurately Tatsuki Fujimoto’s vivid world will be transformed.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War / Bleach: Sennen Kessen-hen

This blog author grew up watching the original Bleach anime, so this new release is the most nostalgic anime for us on this list. It’s been too long since the original anime adaptation ended (over a decade now!), so it feels very surreal getting the chance to witness updated and modernized anime versions of our favorite shinigamis.

Since Bleach is one of the oldest series in this list, there will be tons of merch you’ll have to go through, so if you don’t know where to start, we recommend searching for items on our Surugaya store by clicking here! Mob Psycho 100

Mob Psycho 100 is created by the manga artist who goes by the pseudonym One, who was also behind another series that took over Japan’s anime airwaves a few years ago, One Punch Man. This same sort of humor and surrealness found in the latter series is evident in Mob Psycho 100 as well, and always makes for an entertaining watch.

It is currently on its third season this year and it’s not showing signs of slowing down, and we’re here for the ride.

Blue Lock

 

Blue Lock is another series that makes its anime debut this fall season. Although the manga for this fell under our radar, we were able to watch trailers for the anime adaptation and were thoroughly impressed. We’re excited to get into the series without knowing much of the story and see what’s in store for us!
