Why buy Rolex from Japan?
Japan has a thriving second-hand market, and due to their popularity, Rolex watches are one of the luxury items you’ll never have difficulty finding.
But of course, even with a country like Japan, there will be some fakes popping up here and there. So if you’re considering buying a second-hand Rolex from Japan, it’s always best to know what you’re getting into.
In this article, we’ll be giving you a guide on how to buy a second-hand Rolex from Japan, while still having that peace of mind from getting the real thing.
How to buy Second-hand Rolex from Japan
1. Find the item you want to buy.
Today, we’re introducing you to FROM JAPAN‘s FJ Fashion Section. The FJ Fashion section is a specially curated section where we only present items from trusted fashion brands and secondhand stores in Japan. They have been relied on by thousands of customers and are well-established within the country, so you can rest assured that what you’re looking at won’t be fake.
To get you started, you can click the “Search for Second-hand Rolex Watches” button above or at the end of this article to be instantly taken to a page where you can see the search results for “ロレックス” (“Rolex” in Japanese) under our FJ Fashion section. From here, feel free to browse the item listings that pop up until a certain watch catches your eye.
2. Check the details of your item.
If you’ve clicked on a few of the item listings, you might have noticed a box at the top of the product page like the ones in the image below. In this case, so that you can make sure your watch will get to you if you’re living outside of Japan, we recommend making use of the Google translate function for the “Description” at the bottom of the page and reading through it thoroughly.
In some instances, the keyword for prohibited items that was picked up might have just been a part of the product name, or from a different word, but the watch doesn’t have the prohibited component. This was the case for the example with the “ムース(Aerosol mousse)” warning. However, for the “ダイヤモンド (Diamond)” example, after reading the description, the watch did indeed have diamonds so this would not be possible to ship overseas.
For a more detailed explanation of what can or can’t be shipped abroad, please take a look at “Article 11: (Prohibited Items)” from the Terms and Conditions section of our Usage Guide.
3. Add items to your cart and pay for Charge 1.
Once you’ve confirmed that your Rolex watch can be shipped to your country without any problems, it’s time to add it to your cart and pay for Charge 1.
4. Items arrive at our distribution center ready for shipment instructions.
When your items have arrived at our distribution center, our Customer Service team will ask for your shipment instructions. Items can be stored for free in our warehouse for up to 45 days, which you can take advantage of if you’re ordering multiple items from us!
