2. How to Purchase
The purchasing process with FROM JAPAN is as follows:
Find an item → Place your order & pay for the item (Charge 1) → Item arrives at the warehouse → Choose shipping method & pay for shipping (Charge 2) → delivery
Once you understand this flow, you’ll be able to use the service smoothly.
Item Search 🔍
You can search for items directly on the FROM JAPAN website or enter a product URL.
If you already have the product page, entering the URL is the quickest and easiest option.
Please note:
*Even if an item is not listed on the FROM JAPAN website, you can still request a purchase by entering the product URL. In other words, as long as the item exists online, we can purchase it on your behalf.
*For manual quotes, you will usually receive an estimate by email within 2–3 hours. If you do not receive it within 24 hours, please contact us.
Step 1: Order & Payment (Charge 1)
After confirming the item, place your order and complete the payment.
FROM JAPAN will purchase the item on your behalf.
*Charge 1 includes the item price only.
Step 2: Warehouse Arrival & Optional Services 📦
Once the item arrives at the warehouse, FROM JAPAN provides a free inspection service to ensure the item matches what you have ordered.
You can also choose additional options such as package consolidation (combining multiple items into one shipment) and other services.

Step 3: Shipping Payment (Charge 2) 🚚
Select your shipping method and delivery address, then proceed with the payment for the Charge 2.
Charge 2 includes the following:
- International shipping fee
- Plan fee (Product Protection Plan): 500 yen per item *If multiple quantities of the same item are purchased in a single transaction, the fee is charged for one item only
- Payment processing fee (within Japan): Free of charge
- Domestic shipping fee (within Japan): Actual cost *Items with free domestic shipping (e.g. Mercari) will be 0 yen
Important Notes
*Even if a payment processing fee occurs within Japan, it will not be charged to the customer
*Items from the same seller/store may be eligible for combined domestic shipping (Check the conditions here)
*Customs duties and import fees are not included

FROM JAPAN offers shipping under either DDU or DDP terms, depending on your destination and selected shipping method.

Your package will be shipped overseas.
After shipment, you can track the delivery status using the tracking information provided.

4. About Our Fees

Once Charge 1 is completed, the seller or the store in Japan will ship the item to the FROM JAPAN warehouse.
Charge 2 (Before Shipping)
You pay for international shipping and related fees.
Once Charge 2 is completed, the item will be shipped internationally from the FROM JAPAN warehouse to your address.
